Rose Hill Cemetery Project Update

I have just finished adding more than 30 transcriptions and photos to my Rose Hill Cemetery (Macon, Bibb County, Georgia) pages. Most are interments from the Pine Ride section. A new page for Hawthorne Ridge has been started. Check it out! You can use any of the links in the beginning of this post. You can also surf there from the Southern Graves website, as well as the Bibb County, GA American History & Genealogy Project .

Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Online

I recently visited Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Dooly County, Georgia and found many PEAVY gravestones. Most appear to be the family of Isaac Y. Peavy (1823-1903). I photographed and transcribed all the stones. A short video, all the transcriptions, and some photos are now online at Southern Graves .

The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"

So I answered, "O Lord God, You know."

Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!' Thus says the Lord God to these bones: 'Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live...'" (Ezekiel 37:1-5, NKJV)
